Joan Werleman, DDS
Hello, I am Dr. Werleman. I was born in Holland and raised on the Dutch island of Aruba. I received my Bachelor of Science Degree in Biology with a minor in Chemistry at Loyola University in New Orleans in 1988. I then obtained my doctorate’s degree in 1992 from the University of Maryland Baltimore College of Dental Surgery, the nation’s oldest and most prestigious dental institution. After receiving my Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) degree, I completed a General Practice Residency at York Hospital in 1993, and founded Dr. Werleman & Associates in 1995 after 2 years of community and public health service at Southeast Lancaster Health Services.
I have also completed a mini-residency training in Dental Sleep Medicine at Tufts School of Dental Medicine in Boston, MA from October 2014 – April 2015. The curriculum covered in-depth and detailed training in all aspect of sleep medicine and cranio facial pain and TMJ as it pertains to dental sleep medicine and the role dentists can play in helping treating patients with obstructive sleep apnea. The training involved lectures from doctors and clinicians in the Boston area including Harvard School of Medicine.
My entire team and I actively attend continuing education courses on a regular basis, and we are fully up-to-date on the latest practices and technology. I am a participating member in several professional associations, including:

I enjoy visiting and spending time with my family in Aruba. On the weekends I can be found enjoying kayaking, biking, yoga, golf and traveling. I recently became a 200hr RYT Certified Yoga Instructor and have shared with many the healing and calming effect of the yoga practice. My three dogs Bailey, Retro, and Phantom keep me very busy with flyball competitions traveling throughout USA and Canada.
Elena Guk, DDS
Hello, my name is Dr. Elena Guk.
I was born and raised in Belarus, but during my teen years I came to Lancaster County, PA . During high school, I completed a dental assisting program and realized that dentistry was my passion. After graduation I became an Expanded Function Dental Assistant and worked as an assistant for the next five years, until I got married and moved to Central PA. I then earned my Dental Hygiene degrees from Harrisburg Area Community College and Pennsylvania College of Technology. I worked as a Registered Dental Hygienist for eight years, and during that time I was able to complete my Master’s degree in Biology from Saint Joseph College in Connecticut. I received my Doctor of Dental Surgery Degree from the University of Maryland Dental School.
I enjoy working with patients and their comfort and satisfaction are of utmost importance to me. My special interests are the surgical aspects of dentistry. I am certified as a Fellow in The International Congress of Oral Implantology. I am an active member in many professional dental organizations including the American Dental Association, Pennsylvania Dental Association, Harrisburg Area Dental Society, and Academy of General Dentistry.
In my spare time I enjoy spending time with my husband and four children. I also love playing piano and singing. On weekends I enjoy directing a small church band and composing band music.
Moshe Rechthand, DDS
Hello! My name is Dr. Moshe Rechthand.
I am a native of Baltimore, Maryland. I earned my Bachelor of Arts from the City University of New York, Queens College in 2012 and my doctorate from the University Of Maryland School Of Dentistry in 2016. While in school, I was awarded membership into the Gorgas Odontological Honor Society and The Gamma Pi Delta Prosthodontic Honor society for outstanding academic and clinical performance. Following graduation, I completed a General Practice Residency at the Baltimore VA Hospital, where I received advanced training in all aspects of general dentistry including oral surgery, implantology and endodontics.
My motto for life, as well as my practice of dentistry, is to treat others in the manner in which I would want to be treated. I was an anxious dental patient myself as a child and am therefore highly sensitive to the emotions and needs of my patients. I practice with compassion, and strive to create a pleasant and comfortable dental experience. I am passionate about dentistry and delivering healthy and beautiful smiles to my patients. I am especially interested in implant dentistry and am an active member of the American Academy of Implant Dentistry. I consider myself a lifetime student and believe that learning never ceases. This thirst for knowledge and learning helps me stay up to date with all the amazing new trends and cutting edge technology in my field. As part of this quest, I am an active member of many organizations including the American Dental Association, Academy of General Dentistry, Baltimore County Dental Association, Maryland State Dental Association, Maimonides Dental Study Club and Alpha Omega Dental Fraternity.
In my spare time, I spend as much time as I can with my amazing wife and two beautiful, energetic sons. I enjoy reading, playing basketball and spending time outdoors with my family.
Jeffrey Rajaski, DDS
I received my Bachelors degree in Biological Sciences from the University of Maryland, Baltimore County and my Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the University of Maryland Dental School. I completed a two year residency at the University of Maryland Medical center where I received training in anesthesiology, head & neck oncology reconstruction, implantology and facial trauma surgery. After a short time in private practice I returned to the University of Maryland Medical Center to serve as the Division Head of Hospital Dentistry and Director of the Hospital’s Dental Residency Program.
I am an active member of numerous academic groups including the American Dental Association, the Maryland and Pennsylvania State Dental Associations, the Academy of General Dentistry and the American Dental Society of Anesthesiology. I also currently sit of on the Board of Directors for the Maryland Dental Society of Anesthesiology.
Although I have returned to private practice, I still maintain part-time associate professor and clinical instructor positions at the Dental School’s Advanced General Dentistry Residency Program providing anesthesiology services for the University’s various post-graduate residency programs. I also teach dental students in the University’s dental clinic in Baltimore, MD and satellite clinic in Frederick, MD. I conducts research in multiple fields, but focus my attention on anesthesiology, implants and new material testing and I have published numerous articles.
I reside in South Central Pennsylvania and have two daughters. I enjoy to fill my free time with playing the guitar, golfing, snow skiing, fishing and water sports .

I received by Bachelor of Science Degree from California State University in Fresno. I attended dental school and received my Doctor of Dental Medicine (D.M.D.) from the University of Pittsburgh School of Dental Medicine. I obtained my Master of Science Degree (M.S.) in Orthodontics form the State University of New York. I then embarked on the journey to become Board Certified by the American Board of Orthodontics. Board Certification in Orthodontics is only held by about 30% of all orthodontists in the nation. I am recognized by Align Technology as a Premier Provider of Invisalign treatment and a Diplomate of the American Board of Orthodontics.
I have active memberships in the American Dental Association, American Association of Orthodontists, Middle Atlantic Society of Orthodontists, Academy of General Dentistry, Maryland State Dental Association, Anne Arundel County Dental Society and the College of Diplomates, American Board of Orthodontics.
